Today is Thanksgiving, and that means its time for people to be thankful, right? It’s really surprising to me how many things go unappreciated and overlooked until this holiday rolls around. Any holiday, in fact. Don’t get me wrong, I love Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I think that being thankful and appreciative of what you have should occur more than just two days a year.
Be thankful for the people in your life, even the ones who aren’t anymore. Every person you have interacted with has contributed something to your life, and that’s pretty amazing to think about. Take a moment to think about those that are still with you today, and those who truly appreciate you. Make sure they know just how much they mean to you, every day. Even if they tell you they know or they they don’t understand what they’ve done for you, tell them anyway. Let people know when they’re appreciated.
Appreciate how far you’ve come and everything you’ve gotten through up until this point. Remember all the little moments where you told yourself you didn’t think you could do it. You did it. You’ve made it so far, and you’re only going to progress. From one human to another, I am proud of you. Whatever you have faced, you made it through. Keep pushing, always fight, and keep moving forward. Be thankful and appreciative not just today, but every day.
