Do you ever feel like the decisions you made, the friends you had, the things that used to interest you, were all just another…you?
Do you ever feel like the things you have now just don’t make you happy anymore? Do you ever feel like you just want to start over?
Well, here’s the thing: you can.
You are 100% completely allowed to change who you are, whenever you want.
We are all born with unique fingerprints, eye colors, and thinking patterns. So, why not have a unique everything?
Something I’ve struggled with recently, can be pictured like this: imageine that you’re going to put a pair of shoes on, a pair of shoes you used to wear constantly. These shoes are worn and old, you practically lived in them. Now, imagine trying to put them on, and they just don’t fit.
No matter how much you wiggle and loosen and pull, they just don’t want to work with you. They’re uncomfortable. So what do you do? You can just walk around in shoes that don’t suit you, right?
You throw them away.
It’s the same with your mindset, spirit, soul, aura, lifestyle, whatever you want to call it. It is the same exact thing. Sometimes, you just wake up and things don’t suit you anymore. Friends don’t seem as important or a lifestyle or way of thinking you had doesn’t suit you anymore.
Instead of moping and becoming worried, embrace it. Embrace the fact that you are waking up, changing, and evolving. Not many of us even realize it’s happening. And it can be scary! Not knowing what to do next, yea, I’ve been there. But that’s not really something I can help you with in a blog post.
You just have to take it slow. Think about it. And think about it hard. Decide exactly what you want, and what you don’t.
Oh, and another thing. If you should find that people in your life just don’t serve you anymore, that is totally okay. And they don’t need to understand it. They probably won’t, anyway. If you need to distance yourself from things or people, then you do exactly that.
This kind of thing is normal. And it’s going to be amazing for you. Don’t fight the current of change. It’s time to shed your skin, and continue as a new, improved, you.
Have you recently gone through something like this? What did you change? How did you feel about it? I’d love to hear your feedback! Let me know in the comments!
